Please can someone help me but i don't know what i've done on microsoft word however instead of having spaces and paragraphs, these have been replaced by symbols on the text i.e. a full stop represents a space and there are various other symbols for different punctuation, is it to do with the formatting? please can someone tell me how to get back to the normal mode of writing thankyou!!

See if clicking on the "Show/Hide" icon in the Standard tool bar gets rid of it. You may just be seeing the formatting symbols, which can be turned on/off with Show/Hide formatting control. Search "show hide" in Word help. It will explain.

You've turned on a Show Non-Printing Characters option in the preferences.
