Microsoft word spacing issues?

Whenever i'm typing on microsoft word and i hit return to go to the next line, it makes and extra line as if it's double spaced, but only when i hit return, then the rest is single spaced. How do i make it single like everything else?

high lite the text

click format %26gt;paragraph %26gt;select single line spacing

the other four boxes on the left should have 0pt in them. this the default for general text.

(Note if you play with those 4 boxes when you are typing in a table, it shifts the text in the table grid).

Make sure you on the ''normal'' view, aswell as make sure your font size isn't too big or the font.

Different fonts need different type of spacing, so make sure that isn't the problem, if thats not it, then im not too sure.

Try running a re-install of office.
u go to paragraphing and adjust the spacing.
this seems that your Word Format have been changed.

Try View your documents in different Layouts. Like

Normal, Print, Web.

or go to Tools %26gt; Autocorrect Options...... may be it can help you.

last option is uninstall you MS-Office and reinstall again
if it goes 2 lines down instead of 1 line then there might be something wrong with your software. if you have windows vista the click the vista icon, then in the search box type in diagnostic, the click on microsoft office diagnostics. this is what you do if you have microsoft office 2007. thats what i have so i dont really know any instructions for the other versions.
Go to Format %26gt; Paragraph,,,, Under Indents and Spacing Tab, check the line spacing and select single. In 'After' option, make the spacing as 0 points,,,,, Bingo,,,, You're done,,,, NNJOYYYYY...................... ;)
