Just bought microsoft office 2007 and just wanted to know if I was to email someone else who didnt have it would it convert ok? Like my boss has Word Perfect, if I emailed him in plain Word would it show up ok on Word Perfect, also using Excel would this work with Lotus?? Serious answers only, thanks

If you save the files in the default file format (.docx for example), they probably won't be able to open it without Office 2007. If you go to Save As...you can save as a ''Word 97-2003 Document'' (for example). It will be more likely your boss can open this type of file.

My company has both versions of microsoft 2003 and 2007. They have on the microsoft website conversion tools that will let you view 2007 files in the 2003 format. Check there if you need a conversion tool.
