Microsoft Word 2007 help?

Hey I have Microsoft Word 2007 and I need help with numbering the pages of my essay in the footers. I need to number pages two and after but I dont know how to make it work so the first page remains unumbered.

I just use 2 different documents. One is the title page with out page numbers. The other is my paper with page numbers.
Go to Insert, then choose Page Number.

There will be a dialog box that comes up and then you can choose to put the numbers in the header or the footer and then also un-check the box that says Show number on the first page.
