Microsoft word!!!?

on my keyboard it won't let me type on microsoft word, but obviously it let's me on everyother thing i need to type on! can somoeone please help this old lady?

Did you click it with the mouse? Sometimes it won't give you the cursor until you click it.

the first thing that comes to mind is that you have a virus. there's this trojan i encountered before that directly affects Microsoft Office applications. you should try updating your virus definitions and try scanning your computer for viruses. if you don't have an antivirus application installed, download AVG antivirus. it's completely free! :)
first open microsoft word then click document and type ur contains this one way.another way u uninstall or upgrade ur system microsoft word.

another way scan ur system any virus affected or not.another way change ur keyboard and try that.

I would really suggest that you click the cursor where you want to start the text, so that you can tell the computere where to put the text. If this doesn't work the first time I would restart word and try clicking again then try typing. Good Luck!
Have you shut everything down and restarted your PC then opened only Word to try and type in? Could there be some security dialog boxes opening with Word that you need to close first?

My machine sometimes does this when I open Word after I've been on the internet for a while, when I shut everything down and reopen Word again it works fine.
Did you go up to the top menu, click on "file", then "new", then "blank document"?
